Tickets for Bosworth Medieval Festival 2020 on sale in time for Christmas

The two-day festival takes place on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August 2020, with Saturday being the 535th anniversary of the battle of Bosworth.

Once again, all tickets are valid for the whole weekend, which means that visitors can come on either or both days at no extra cost. The tickets have also been held at the same price as last year.

Richard Blunt, cabinet member for heritage, leisure and arts, said:

Last year was the first time the tickets were valid for both days and it proved to be really popular, with lots of people coming back on the Sunday.

There were also a lot of new events, activities, displays and stalls, many of which we hope to welcome back again for next year. We were keen to get the tickets on sale in time for Christmas, as they will make excellent presents.

The Bosworth Medieval Festival is one of the highlights of the summer calendar. It’s a great event for families, as there is so much on offer, including the re-enactment of two battles from the Wars of the Roses, with the Battle of Bosworth as the grand finale.

As well as the battle re-enactments, there are large living history encampments to explore, jousting, archery, cannon fire demonstrations, guided tours, author talks, a medieval craft market and loads of exciting fun, hands-on games and competitions for children, as well as entry to the award-winning exhibition and free car parking.

Tickets can be booked online at www.bosworthbattlefield.org.ukOpens another website in new window  or by calling 01455 290429 between 10am and 4pm. Family tickets and special group rates are also available. They can also be bought in person from Bosworth Battlefield, where the shop is full of other great gift ideas, and there are no booking fees.
